Overcoming Negativity in the Workplace


Are we more negative today? Talk to anyone in the business world and the answer is most often a resounding “Yes.” Factors contributing to negativity include organizational change (downsizing and mergers, instantaneous global communication and resulting competition), and socio-cultural change (fragmented family units, increased financial expectations and pressures, and a diminished sense of belonging to one’s community).

Negativity in the workplace is not irrevocable. It can be dealt with effectively and successfully, but eradicating it requires specific skills and expertise.
